What we provide, and how you may use it

FabLab publishes sewing, mending and craft tutorials for personal use. You may read, print and follow them at home, in a classroom or in a community workshop, and you may link to any page without asking. You may not republish a tutorial in full, sell it, scrape the site in bulk, or present our text, photographs or diagrams as your own or as the work of another site. Short quotations with a link back to the original page are welcome.

Safety disclaimer

Sewing involves sharp needles, pins, rotary cutters, hot irons and electrical machines. Every tutorial is provided as general guidance only and is followed at your own risk. You are responsible for using your tools and materials safely, for keeping them away from children and pets, and for observing the manufacturer's instructions, the safety data sheet for any chemical product, and any law that applies where you are. FabLab is not liable for injury, property damage, or damage to garments or equipment resulting from the use of our instructions.

Measurements, fabric quantities and difficulty ratings are estimates based on the samples we made. Fabric behaves differently by fibre, weave and pre-treatment, and machines differ. Test on a scrap before committing your good material, and if a tutorial and your commercial pattern disagree, follow the pattern.

Pages may link to suppliers, tool manufacturers or other resources we do not control, and may display advertising. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices of third-party sites, and a link is not an endorsement. Changes and governing terms

We may revise these terms at any time; the version published on this page is the one that applies. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
