Privacy Policy

This policy explains what FabLab ("we", "us") collects when you visit fablab.top, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It was last reviewed in September 2026 and it applies to this site only.

Information we collect

We do not ask you to create an account and we do not knowingly collect your name, postal address or payment details. Our server records standard technical log data — IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp — which is used to keep the site online and to detect abuse. Log data is rotated regularly and is not used to build a profile of you.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies that the site needs in order to function, and — subject to your consent where the law requires it — cookies set by third parties for advertising and measurement.

Third-party advertising (Google AdSense)

FabLab is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense and its partner networks. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and to other sites on the internet.

  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to FabLab and/or other sites on the internet.
  • Third-party vendors and ad networks, including Google, may use the DoubleClick DART cookie and similar identifiers to serve interest-based advertising.
  • These vendors may also collect your IP address, device and browser information, and an approximate location derived from your IP, for ad delivery, frequency capping and fraud prevention.

How to opt out of personalised advertising

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time. These settings are controlled by the advertising providers, not by FabLab:

  • Google Ads Settings — adssettings.google.com — turns off personalised ads from Google.
  • Industry opt-out pages — www.aboutads.info (Digital Advertising Alliance) and www.youronlinechoices.eu (EU) — opt out of interest-based advertising from participating vendors.
  • Your browser's cookie settings, or a browser extension that blocks advertising cookies. Blocking cookies does not remove ads; it makes them less relevant to you.

Where the law requires it, you will be asked for consent before non-essential cookies are set, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time.

Your rights under the GDPR and the CCPA

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our legal basis for the limited processing described above is our legitimate interest in operating and funding the site, together with your consent where consent is required.

If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request its deletion or correction, the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information for money; the advertising cookies described above may be treated as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising, and you can opt out using the links in the section above.

Children

FabLab is written for adults and for older teenagers working under supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy at any time to reflect changes in our practices, in the advertising partners we work with, or in the law. The revised version takes effect when it is published on this page, and the "last reviewed" date above will change with it. If a change is material, we will make it prominent on the home page.
